Why should a treatment
only last until
the next wash?
Premium human hair is expensive — yet the products used on it are designed around hair still growing from the scalp, and their benefit often leaves with the next wash.
The observation
Short-lived improvement.
Extensions, wigs and hairpieces are washed, brushed, heated, styled and worn exactly as growing hair is — but they are disconnected from the scalp and receive none of its ongoing replenishment. Routine masks and conditioners improve how the hair feels, then that improvement fades with washing. The hair is expensive, worn constantly, and given no long-lasting maintenance category of its own.
The question
What would care look like if we started with the worn hair itself — and measured it in washes?
The brief
A category of its own.
That question became the brief: a specialist resealing treatment built for premium human hair — extensions, wigs and hairpieces — focused on durability through repeated washing, with both professional and at-home accessibility.

Judged on how long performance lasts, not how the hair feels for one wash.

Two pathways
Professional application and a guided at-home experience, developed independently.
Development
Measured in washes.
Development has been practical rather than theoretical: formulation trials on human hair, treated and untreated strands compared, and condition observed across repeated wash cycles. Current testing has shown treatment performance continuing through 15+ washes on tested hair.
That work is ongoing, final claim validation is not yet complete, and the treatment continues to be shaped by what worn hair actually does.
The give-back initiative
More than hair.
For many people, human hair is more than a beauty purchase. A wig, hairpiece or set of extensions can play a deeply personal role in confidence and identity.
As EX.FIX grows, we want that growth to help somebody else too. Our goal is for every EX.FIX treatment booked or at-home treatment kit purchased to help support one EX.FIX treatment for a person in need.
We also want to create a pathway for human hair donations — helping suitable donated hair, wigs and hairpieces receive the care and preparation they deserve before beginning their next chapter.
