What is EX.FIX?
EX.FIX is a specialist resealing treatment being developed for premium human hair extensions, wigs and hairpieces. It is one focused treatment of around 30 minutes, designed to restore softness, shine and manageability — and to keep performing through repeated washing rather than fading with the next wash.
What does 15+ washes mean?
It means durability, not dosage. In current EX.FIX development testing, treatment performance has continued through 15 or more washes on tested hair. At around two washes a week, 15 washes is roughly seven weeks of washing — that is an illustration based on washing frequency, not a promise of a calendar duration.
Is 15+ washes guaranteed?
No. It is based on current development testing on treated human hair, and final commercial claim validation is still ongoing. Real-world results will vary with hair quality, condition, styling, heat use and how the hair is washed. We would rather be transparent about where the figure comes from than present it as a universal guarantee.
Why is EX.FIX different from a mask or conditioner?
Masks and conditioners are designed around immediate feel and are typically used at every wash. EX.FIX is a periodic resealing step designed for continued performance through repeated washing. It is a different job, not a replacement for routine care.
Can I keep using conditioner and heat protectant?
Yes. EX.FIX is designed to continue performing alongside a normal routine, including your usual conditioner and heat protectant. Nothing needs to be removed from your aftercare.
How often might I need treatment?
It is not an every-wash product. Because current testing has shown performance continuing through 15+ washes, treatment is expected to be periodic rather than frequent. Recommended frequency will be confirmed with the final protocol.
Is it suitable for human hair wigs?
Human hair wigs face the same fundamental issue as extensions — hair no longer connected to a scalp, still washed, styled and worn. They are firmly within the scope EX.FIX is being developed for, with specific guidance confirmed as testing completes.
Is it suitable for hairpieces and toppers?
Yes, human hair hairpieces and toppers are within scope for the same reason. EX.FIX is applied to the hair itself, and full guidance for each format will be supplied with the final protocol.
What extension methods might be suitable?
EX.FIX is being developed for premium human hair extensions generally, with application focused on the hair itself rather than the attachment point. Method-specific guidance will be confirmed with the final protocol, so we are not yet stating suitability for every installation type.
Is it permanent repair?
No. Hair cannot biologically regenerate once it has left the scalp, and we would not claim otherwise. EX.FIX is designed to improve and help preserve condition — smoothness, softness, movement and appearance — for longer, not to permanently repair the hair.
Is EX.FIX professional or at-home?
Both, as two independent pathways. A professional pathway is being prepared for salon application, and a guided at-home pathway is being developed as a standalone experience. A salon treatment is not required before at-home use.
Does EX.FIX give back?
Yes. As EX.FIX launches and grows, our goal is for every treatment booked or treatment kit purchased to help support one EX.FIX treatment for a person in need.
Can I donate human hair to EX.FIX?
We want to help suitable human hair, wigs, extensions and hairpieces find a second life. If you have hair you would like to donate, contact us and we can discuss whether it may be suitable and the options available.
Can I sponsor a treatment for someone else?
Yes. We want to make it possible for people to contribute towards the treatment and preparation of donated human hair or sponsor an EX.FIX treatment for a recipient in need. Contact us if you would like to be involved.
When will EX.FIX launch?
Development and testing are ongoing. Launch timing, availability and pricing will be announced to the list first — no dates are being confirmed until we are certain of them.
